The SBE 3 represents a comprehensive overhaul of our iconic Super Black Eagle platform. Drawing on valuable feedback from our professional staff and seasoned hunters, Benelli's design engineers have dedicated nearly a decade to this project, concentrating on three pivotal aspects crucial for serious waterfowlers: enhanced ergonomics, seamless functionality, and a refreshed aesthetic that embodies modern waterfowling reliability, all aimed at achieving one goal: unmatched performance in the harshest environments.

The introduction of Comfort Tech™ was groundbreaking. By diagonally splitting the stock and incorporating shock-absorbing chevrons, the stock effectively transformed into a recoil pad. This chevron design, now over 13 years old, remains the most effective available and serves as the foundation for the SBE 3 stock. The size and placement of the chevrons have been fine-tuned in Comfort Tech 3. Additionally, Benelli engineers have created a new cheek comb pad, Combtech, which significantly minimizes facial impact and vibrations.

Renowned for its strength and dependability, our clean-burning Inertia Driven System requires no adjustments, consistently cycles in challenging conditions, and effortlessly accommodates everything from light field loads to 3½" magnum shells. In terms of cleanliness and speed, gas systems simply cannot match the performance of Inertia-Driven Benelli shotguns, which are capable of firing over 500,000 rounds without any issues.

The SBE 3 features a larger bolt release and safety, along with an outward-angled drop lever, making it quicker and easier to operate—even when wearing gloves.

Cryogenic treatment has shown that steel undergoes molecular changes when cooled to -300° F. When a Benelli barrel is cryogenically treated, the stresses from hammer forging are alleviated, resulting in a more uniform bore surface. This leads to a smoother surface that reduces resistance to wads and shot charges. With these enhanced, uniform surfaces, Benelli Crio® barrels provide superior shot patterns and maintain cleanliness for longer periods.

Versatility is key: owning a shotgun with a 3½" chamber does not necessitate using only heavy loads. The SBE 3’s patented locking mechanism is engineered to function flawlessly with all types of shotgun loads—from light clay loads to the most powerful goose-busting ammunition.

The new Super Black Eagle 3 incorporates a beveled loading port, a redesigned carrier, and a two-piece carrier latch to facilitate effortless magazine loading. During the loading process, only the front section of the Easy Loading System’s two-piece carrier latch moves, allowing shells to slide in smoothly with minimal resistance or risk of jamming.

Grooves in the loading port assist in guiding shells without diverting your attention from incoming birds. The newly designed, beveled loading port also features a wider opening to help direct shells into the magazine, which is essential for hunters wearing gloves.
